Half my family are pro life Trump supporters (Catholic). They expect a pro life justice and voted for him to give them as such...

Let’s be honest here if the Dems were in this position they would do the same thing...

Most likely yes, but without gazing into a crystal ball, this question would be predicated on whether they would have set the same precedent as McConnell; or would they have dog and ponied a hearing to reject.

9 months is a terribly long time to have been inactive.

I don’t disagree but then Democrats should have voted for a Democratic Senate..

Republicans should probably use some caution here and wait to see how the November elections go before pushing through a new justice. If the Democrats should sweep the Presidency and get control of the Senate, you can bet there will be a price to pay. The number of justices on the Supreme court is controlled by statute not the constitution. The Democrats will increase the number of justices to 15 and pack it with more liberals. It has been discussed.

What I meant was it was the fault of Democratic voters for not electing a Democratic led senate.

    I don't know.

Creek is capable. I dont need anyone covering my azz.
Maybe this is a good time to mention this to you specifically, Dmorgan. 10 days ago, the wife tripped over a cat in our home. When I came home, she yelled my name from upstairs - shes never yelled my name before. Found her on her side and holding her left knee - sheet white and in clear pain. Called our fire guys and a medic box to come help me with her. Out the door she went, off to Sharp with a Fentanyl IV for the pain. 90% tear of the quadricep tendon, repaired the following morning at Sharp by Ortho MD Anthony Sanzone. Two more days in the hospital to display competence to PT and OT in getting up and down the stairs they use at physical therapy. Got her home and my life instantly changed as I've taken a second full-time job being her home healthcare nurse. It will be this way for 8-12 weeks depending on how well she heals and how well she can negotiate walking like a human being again. So probably no fishing, no dycking around at the fly shop, and no overnight trips to sleep under the stars in the desert.

I know that only a few of you knew this (Larry, Meezer, etc) .. but this is how my life is going to be for a bit. I used to get on here all the time and dyck around with you guys and it was/still is fun. I wont really have that kind of time anymore. So please dont think you're being blown-off or I've puzzed-out refusing to respond to something you wrote. You know better. I have zero fear of confronting anyone, responding to anything, or saying it the way I think it is no matter who it pizzes off. So pretty much the only time I will be on here is when I'm at work when I can afford to take a break for a few minutes. Not looking for the usual "Sorry, let me know if theres anything I can do" comments. Didnt mention it for that. Dont need to draw any more attention to myself than I already get. It truly is what it is. Photos available upon request for the non-believers. Happy to do it.

Very sorry to hear that but I know you will do a good job taking care of her. Hope that she recovers fully. It's times like this that the vow "till death do us part" takes on real meaning.
