Your camera work is getting better. I can actually tell what you are catching now. However, with the audio quality I find myself playing the guessing game. I see you opening a mussel up, and then you lift it up off camera towards your head and I'm shouting, "Wait... IS HE EATING IT?... PLEASE TELL ME YOU AREN'T EATING SOMETHING RAW YOU FOUND IN OUR BAY?

I had to rewind and look again to see if you had anything in your hand after you tossed the shell. Honestly, with anyone else that thought never would have crossed my mind, but you have told me about some of the sh*t you have eaten in the past, so I'm not willing to put anything past you.

With that said, are you heading out again tomorrow? Master-Baiter and I are probably going to hit up Mission. I haven't fished in almost two weeks and I'm starting to get withdrawals. The last couple of days I have found myself just sitting around spinning a fishing reel in my hands while making what can only be described as "fishing noises" with my mouth. Seriously.

Were plenty of fish popping up in my chum line and across the ramp.. Plenty of smelt, couple smaller corvs, a hali, at least one needle..

The weirdest thing ive seen was when the coach was whippin a daiwa salt pro on the baitcaster LOL! I grew up fishing hand lines and casting with the cuban. It really honed my finesse with feeling out the bites and initiating hook sets. I will never forget the simple pleausre of catching something bare-hand and line!

I remember overseas always seeing guys fishing with a version of that except the "spool" was a gatoraide bottle with the line wrapped around the ridge that runs horizontally down the middle of the bottle. Just goes to show the power of human creativeness when it comes to catching food.

How do you make scallop tartare from mussels? Wouldn't it be mussel tartare? Just saying.....

If you really feel brave, and you like shellfish, have I got the place for you. Wait until there's a low tide and go to the back side of the lifeguard station in Quivira Basin. When the tide is low it uncovers MASSIVE oysters clinging to the rocks. I mean MASSIVE! I cracked one open once (not to eat- just to see what the inside was like), and I swear to you the meat inside was blue! Blue Oyster isn't just the name of a group. They really exist.

    There are hundreds of them!

I was saying that he would be fine if he ate the mussel since ive eaten raw scallop from the bay. It's pretty much the same, pollution wise lol.
