San Francisco/ Bay area advice

    Unexpected trip to SF/Bay area. Gonna be up there for a week from this Sunday 9/22- 9/27. Wondering if any of you guys have any advice for any charters or bay fishing in that area. Never go anywhere there is salt water w/out some of my rods/reels. Just wondering what I should bring. I've looked and talked to a couple charters, but always looking for first hand experience from some of you salty dogs. Thanks in advance, Redd.

    Friend of mine and his sun fished SF Bay the first part of September right off Alcatraz for limits of strippers, halibut and a couple of really nice salmon in their own private boat but that was three weeks ago.

    Thanks guys. I'm going on a charter Tuesday for Salmon, then Wednesday for some live bait bay action. Striper and halibut is what they said. Definitely bringing my surf rod also to see what I can pick up.

    The Gaidek out of SF Bay never seems to have issues pleasing people when pounding the bottom.
