wohlford had them swimming up to my feet, nice park area, and senior shoreline to fish.

There’s a community lake in lakeside that holds carp. I don’t fish them but last year I saw a guy that had multiple of them in his bucket. Idk if it’s out fished now or if it’s even there still, but it’s free to fish. Idk if it’s closed during this whole covid stuff but it’s worth checking it out.

Locally, just hook a chunk of shrimp on a number six hook, flyline it out there where you see them feeding...

I know you can't "use" corn for bait in most lakes but I used to use the water from a can of corn and mix it with flour. Dough balls used to do very well at lindo lake.

Santee has carp in all lakes, you can see them break the surface in the morning normally for a couple of hours.

    Well, part of mission trails.
They killed most of the river....the big pools that have held water for years ran bone dry a year ago (during a wet year, rainfall-wise) so that certain lakes upstream could be filled up for the jet skiers. The three-foot deep stagnant pools that used to hold carp, bass, and sunfish when the river slowed to a trickle...well, they turned into three foot deep dry holes with a few fish bones and shells...might as well try fishing in the mudhills behind Plaster City as far a living fish or crayfish.

Not like you would have gotten spooled. carp fight damn hard and get damn big. Freshwater bat ray level if not equipped proper.
