once again its opening weekend in the magical sierras, fishing will be very good in the lakes that are open, ice free. they will get the bulk of the stocking because theres a lot of places still frozen over. the week of weather following the opening Saturday look great. be safe and enjoy.

South Sierra has been open a few weeks, I usually go between the two openers (zero crowds) and put the wood to em.. Back was messed up this go round tho

About half the lakes in the eastern sierras have launch ramps, including Crowley..which is a good size lake!

How about Tahoe? Late reply, but I'm here for a couple days. Go a charter Tuesday, trying to find a good spot or two tonight or Monday from shore. Thoughts?

Coach, I took your advice for a setup, but I brought more just in case. Anything I can walk to from South Tahoe would be appreciated. Just thought I'd throw it our there last minute to see what feedback I can get.

Lake Baron is a big pond not far from S Lake and is easier to fish from shore. 10 miles away is Echo lake but snow may have closed the access. Good luck!
