Fished Saturday the 28’th with my buddy Brian.
We knew it was going to be cloudy and breezy.
    Surface bite time!
Started in the dark in Hauser, never moved.
Left the fish still biting at 4:30.
Gunfish/ spook/ walking baits were money. We also did excellent on the suspending jerk baits with LONG PAUSES. Cranks too. At the end of the day, the Rico produced a handful of fatsos too.
Big fish went 4.5, MANY 3.5 fish. Fish are fat, strong, super aggressive. This fishery is in great shape going into to off season.
Just a handful of boats in the area we fished. Everyone was super cool and having a great time.
Surfer John and his son put on a clinic. We did good, they absolutely pounded them. He has taught him well. Good stuff.
Best day for me all year.
Wolfpack’s up against the bank at times.
Frog on the bank was awesome.
    See you next May.
Thanks to the lake staff for making this so easy and fun for us.

We stopped counting. It was very very good.
On the surface bite, you had to cast on the boil. Sometimes frustrating in the wind.
But the jerk bait/ square bill bite was every other cast for an hour. My buddy had literally 10 on ten casts. Did I say it was very very good fishing?
I had at least 25 quality fish probably more. Brian was out fishing me on the crank bait 3-1. He had this smallish rapala that they were crushing.
It never got slow or boring.

That was fun to say the least. They started doing that a month ago but nothing like yesterday.

The one Saturday I have to work and they decide to bust loose. I went today(closer)and did find them breaking back in Hauser but not the same quality you guys got. A lot of those fish were maybe a pound or less. They also stopped when the wind came up around 10am and never came back as the wind stayed up the rest of the day. It was still great to be on the water. See you guys in 2020!

That was definitely a good day. So that was you guys fishing next to us for a good part of the day. We've been fishing that same area for almost 2 months running into the big school back there but nothing like how it was on Sat. Saturday was on another level.

Yea. With the overcast, that fish was up and wanting to feed. You guys hammered them. It took as a while to really dial things in.
