Scouted out Pendleton Beach and Jetty

    past the end of the asphalt the bottom goes from rocky to sandy, and becomes good for halibut, or at least I've heard.
    (I've still never even seen a halibut caught, much less caught one myself)

    Have been several times with my dad on that jetty. "Our" spot is right on the bend of the jetty and about 50 feet to either side. We always make sure to go at low tide so we can harvest a bunch of the mussel that are down by the water. We catch something every time, surf perch yfc, opal eye, rays, corbina, you name it. I've fished on the protected side once with a keitech. Caught my first and only 3 sbb. Being a freshwater bass angler primarily, I felt right at home fishing for the salt bass.
