Got up at 5:30am to do some tube fishing before studying for the next round of midterms. Arrived at the spot at around 6 and it was chilly and decently windy. Fished the majority of the outgoing tide until around noon. The bite was strange this morning like it’s been the last few times I’ve been out; things were really slow for awhile and fish seemed to be randomly scattered. I eventually found some structure that held better numbers of fish, including a fat 16” fish and a couple in the 14” range. Lots of smaller fish too. Also caught a small sculpin. Decent morning overall and was glad to figure out the bite. Light colored swimbaits like the sexy smelt big hammer were getting bit. Tight lines; hope everyone can get out before the weather turns to crap again.

Judging by the way that fish swallowed that bait I would say you have both the right delivery and color. Well done.
