Got my conquest bfs hg 3 weeks ago and i have been so busy that I havent been able to use it. I spooled it up this morning at 6am with sunline sniper 8lb and set out on a mission to catch fish and figure out the reel. I bought it because it can cast as low as 2g which is around 1/16oz. Its just a sturdier aldebaran bfs hg.

Anyways scratched out a bass trifecta early using the pearl fluke jr. Then really focused on throwing finesse cranks and jerkbaits. Bait of choice was duo realis rozante 63 and the 80sp.

Started nailing fish after i got the casting down. Def had to work the fluoro and loosen it up. The conquest bfs has a drag clicker and got to really test out the drag today along with the braking system throwing 4oz lures into heavy wind.

Had some good food and good laughs with geofish in the evening as we grabbed food at Rocky's crown pub and also World Famous (thnx for dinner). Bite was tough at night. Very subtle bites and few and hard in between.

    Food Report, zip code 92109

Met Paulito at Rockys at 1:13pm. Ordered the 1/3 pound burger and beer lunch special. In the spirit of fishing, I ordered the "Ballast Point Grunion." After putting salt and ketchup on my fries I happily devoured my lunchtime feast with Paulito. Did you guys know that Paulito wears that face mask while eating burgers and drinking beer? LOL! I'm not joking! I'm not sure if we were being stared at?????? Ate limits of tasty grub.

Went to OEX, talked kayaks....Went fishing at various windy spots.

Then at about 7:00pm, hunger and thirst set in. Once we decided to catch the Taco Tuesday incoming tide, we painfully drifted around looking for parking off Mission Blvd and got skunked! We found parking in the residential areas behind the Catamaran Hotel. After walking a mile we got to World Famous about 7:30pm. We ordered precisely 12 Shrimp Tacos, Lobster Bisque and Clam Chowder Bread Bowls and a Jalapeño Quesadilla. Unfortunately one of the Taco plates was a "shorty" with only 5 tacos on it. No matter, all in all it was a good Taco Sesh despite being shorted a Taco. Do you think we ordered too much food? Yuup, barely choked down the Tacos and soup. Decided to use the Quesadilla for bait.

Went Shorepounding some more moving a lot to try to burn off that bloated feeling. Didn't feel better until about 11pm. Paulito started fading and got really batty. He literally got hysterical and was rolling on the SC dock as I was removing the hook from my gut hooked Spottie. After realizing his batty behavior was because he'd been fishing/eating since 8am we decided to call our sesh over at midnight!

All in all another fun/memorable Vampire Night Stalking Sesh!

Its from a company cAlled THC(trigger happy company). I fished with a family member of the owner of the company and was gifted a prototype and still use it to this day. They sell the trigger grip covers on tacklewarehouse now! Its awesome because i abhor the trigger grip on the phenix recon 2. I think they ground up rose bush thorns with rhino horns to make tbe trigger. It just digs into my fingers no matter which way i hold it. Never used the rod unyil i got the grip.

Yes i was delirious, but guys i was rolling on the floor laughing because of Geo. Here is the real story:
Geo catches a bass dropshotting the gulp bloodworm. He brings it up and says in dismay"oh no the poor thing is guthooked" he has his surgeon headlight on with his forceps as he operates with an empathetic determination to save the fish. Alas, after a few seconds he looks up and says "Got it!". Right as he is about to throw the bass back into the water, he cries aloud, voice chock full of betrayal," this f___ker took my bait!!!" He then looks at me with a devilish grin, " should i take it back? Its not like it can digest it." He takes the eorm that the fish is holding onto for dear life and throws the fiah back in empty handed.
His rapid change of emotion was comedy

All good.. Put those big girls back, we need them.. If my 4 year old wasn't sacked out in the cruiser for 3 hours yesterday I probably would have pounded a few blue perch or fat opaleye myself off hospitality or the jetties instead of being annoyed by the bass at s shores, lol. All good tho, have 3 days at the river with the mrs coming tomorrow, maybe all the good advice about avoiding the divorce I got in my inbox helped me out.. She is going tho.. Somehow. .
