Got out there at o dark thirty (line in the water 1:30am) on Sunday morning. Was expecting the fog out there, and even though it was very hot inland, I was actually a bit chilled when the wind blew...

The water temp was a very chilly 58 degrees (??!) thought my fish finder was on the fritz for a minute. Luckily the fish didn’t care.

Fished the barge until a little after daybreak for a lot of sandies, few calicoes, a couple spotties that were lost, and two small Jonny bass for the bass quadfecta (?!?).... Quality was not as good (3 barely legal sandies) but quantity did not disappoint. Lost a good grade one after he got me into structure. Certain areas are good typically for fish but you gotta risk break offs to fish em. Swimbaits and DS gulp flukes were the ticket.

On the way to N Island I metered a decent amount of fish in the channel, but considering the fog I didn’t hang there too long. Caught a couple spotties there.

Drifted N island for spotty time, and got a sublegal halibut as well.

Stopped fishing at 9am, caught over 30 fish..... fog burned off just as I left...

Great outing, not many people out... get out there!

Hell yeah. Nice work. That temperature will start to turn any minute, we have some good water starting to lick the shore here and there, with some really nice offshore conditions as well. Should be good for anyone getting out within the next few days.
