Alright People, it looks like we are heading out on the 17th of April. The tide is going to be an incoming slack tide all day, so its a moderate lunar tide. I've added @BIG JOAQUIN to the list again because he helped organize the trip, so he will be the 31st person as an acceptation because he had given up his spot earlier because he was expecting a child. Tell me if you guys want to head out at the regular time or wait till 8am or so to head out (most charters head out around 6am), if personally prefer heading out earlier. Also if there is any lurkers out there don't be afraid join the RSVP, you never know if people have to drop out or not.

I would prefer we leave early 5:30-6:00 and 6:00 being the latest.

What annoys me about how the calendar is set up around holidays in April is that you have Easter/Good Friday, a major Jewish holiday, and an Islamic one called Ead or Ramadan, its like why can't schools just set up a break then and basically give everyone religious a break at once instead of skipping around with short breaks that last 1 or 2 days. I'd much rather have a 2 week spring break which would let me join the rest of my family for Easter in Wisconsin and give me a short rest before I start cranking down for AP Finals and end of the year finals.

Excellent. This is on a Monday, the day after Easter in case anyone else was wondering. I should be good to go! Another vote for leaving earlier as well.

There will definitely be a next time, the next trip if this one goes well may be a twilight trip or 3/4 if the bite is really hot.

Well, since we have a date nailed down...I have never fiahed at the coronados. What kinda setups are pretty standard that time of year? Just your standard Yoyo/dropper loop, surface iron, and flyline? Does anyone even bother bringing a bass setup just in case? Is that a stupid question? Hah

All that you mentioned is stuff I would bring along, you could use the bass set up for bonies or macs if you're into that.

Always bring a bass rod, don't leave home without one. But yeah your standard setups will work just fine. Bring something to throw an iron with or a yo-yo, and something for live bait. 25-30lb is good for that. Make sure to bring a heavy bass rod though, fish with at least a 40lb floro leader. Its very rocky there especially on the east side of the south island.

Wish I could make it but this trip being on a Monday -- pretty doubtful for me with my work schedule so I'm gonna go ahead and back out of the trip so someone can start planning for this event.

Thanks for putting this together. Next time, hopefully!
