Thanks for the info. This still won't stop the bucket brigade.

No prob. I had a trip planned too so this saved me some gas money. I figured it might do the same for others. Guessing it clears up in a few days. Still kinda gross though.

Someone didn't like all the fishing that was going on.
Is it the entire stretch of beach? It basically goes from Del Mar down to LJ. You have the reserve, the golf course and some super expensive homes along that stretch. Whatever spilled was probably done up from the golf course (not sure what they would have 1800 gallons of) or by those expensive homes. Something sneaky going on here.

Beaches were PACKED over the weekend with no warning signs on the sand. We didn’t see any on our walk anyways...

If I would actually READ the story I'd know....

The DEH on Wednesday closed a stretch of Torrey Pines State Beach from Carmel Valley Road to the beach's northern boundary due to the reported sewage spill, which the agency said was contained but could impact the water's quality.

Still would want to know what is considered the northern boundary because not more more north from Carmel Valley Rd is Del Mar.
