So this months corbina stalk will be on Sunday, July 21st from 6am-11am, that’s right you’ll have five hours to land your best bean! After much thought, I have decided not to restrict the bean stalking to one stretch of sand(just in case it’s a salad fest again), and instead let you be the judge where your hunt will take place.

Sign in is between 5am-6am, in the southwestern corner(yellow blurb) of the big parking lot just south of Belmont Park(same spot as perch fest).

Once you sign in you will receive a tag which is to be placed somewhere in each photo that you take, and please, take pics of every fish you catch because you never know when a 8” fish could win! After you receive your tag, you are free to fish your favorite beach.

Just like Perch Fest, a $5 entry fee gets you in on the fun, and the biggest corbina of the day(by measurement) will take all the cash. Anyone is welcome to join, no age requirement, you can use any bait, one rod only, only requirement is you must use a metal retractable tape measure or a hawg trough. If you don’t have either I will have a handful of tape measures you can borrow($2 deposit). The deposit thing is new because I’ve already lost two tapes to people who’ve borrowed and not returned them, but I won’t name any names...

Your taped shot must be clear and legible for me to make the best judgement on the size as I can. My two eyes are the only judge and I will call it like I see it. The laminated tag you receive at sign in must be shown somewhere in the photo for your fish to qualify as a contender. If you do not have the tag in the photo, it will not count. If you tape your fish with the wrong kind of measuring device, it will not count. So please make sure you have the right one. If you lose your tag, you must contact me so that I can give you specific instructions on what to do.

Once 11:00am arrives, the event is over and you will have til 11:05am to send me your photos. I declare a winner at 11:06am. When sending me your photos, I will reply to you confirming my receipt of your photo. Sometimes our satellites can put a delay on things so the sooner I get your photos the better, preferably right after a catch, that way it’s easier for me to keep track of the leaderboard.
There will not be a meet up at the end of the session as we will all be scattered in different areas. I’m not about to try and meet up anywhere near the water in the middle of the day, especially around MB. I will inform the winner through text, and make a post with the results on this thread. I will also make arrangements to meet up with the winner so they can collect!

    This should get interesting!

If he’s a fishermen, he’s probably told you about all the problems we’re having up here with our fish management. It really is sad. Washington should be a world class fishing destination.

His bigger sister kept avoiding me, saw her three times! Solid 24”+ wanted nothing to do with my crab sandwich.... my heart pounded each time she disappeared in the wash, I was waiting to get slammed. Nope.
