I couldnt find this location last time but i now i see where it is. I drove past the park and kept going. However i will try again. When you say your favorite beach you mean up and down the area on the map? I am still learning all of the areas of San Diego and could not point MB from PB on a map if i tried

Your favorite beach meaning if you like Torrey Pines, then after you sign in you are free to go fish there. Anywhere you like, other than protected zones.

Still on the fence. Went and worked an LC over the structure at Tamarack yesterday. Nothing. Damn...its hard to throw lures when you're a bait kinda guy.

Alright! Shinna and I are in our new place and first order of business was to unpack our fishing poles!! Ready to join the fun. Can’t wait to meet up with a few of you and see how it’s done.

Can't make this one. Already made a commitment for that morning. Good luck - interested in seeing the results.

Thought I would bump this, since it is right around the corner. Shinna and I are in. Without giving away any trade secrets, what would be a few things to throw to at least have a prayer of hooking a halibut in the surf. We will probably just fish the Mission area since we are not familiar with any "GO TO" for halibut.

Lucky craft 110 is the most loved. Krocodile or bigger kastmaster get the nod from me if you don't like or know jerkbaits. I like the salt pro minnow by Daiwa myself too.. some don't care for it, I like the salt pro especially casting into the wind. IMA flit has quite a few devotees as well. Typically guys like sardine, smelt or bone/white colors

Perfect!! I suppose I should have also asked: Where is the best place to go buy a Lucky craft and others? I know I can get them on Amazon, but I would like to get something for Sunday.

Sending you a text, but you have Squidco and Anglers Choice. Both in the Point Loma area. I’m sure there are others, but those are the only 2 tackle shops I know of.

Best price locally on the flit and salt pro is at Turner's outdoorsman.. half the price of the LC +/-

MB is a great place for surf butts. And other butts...
but the LC will be the weapon of choice

Went to Turners and sadly they were pretty scarce on product. The only thing they had was a Lucky Craft, and even those were limited. I did pick one up tho. No flit or salt pro to be seen.

I've been to Turner's when they've been sold out of certain baits for months, went to the Point Loma Sportfishing tackle shop and they were loaded with what I was looking for. Fisherman's Landing is usually well stocked too. Try those two, could be more pricey than T Mart but at least they have product on the shelf.

eBay is worth a shot. I often find the sellers are in socal so it only takes a few days to make it to your door.
