The finale will be on Sunday, February 23rd from 9am-1pm. If I make it earlier I will have to leave and come back, trying to avoid the waste of gas. As mentioned in another thread, we won’t have our normal food bash, instead It will be up to you if you’d like to bring something. I’ll continue to bring the plates and cutlery, maybe water too just in case the food magically appears.
In order for you to get the information that includes the maps and rules, you must sign up. You sign up by replying the words “I’m in” to this thread so that you will be included on the pm. The pm will be sent out on the Friday night before the event date. For more information about Shore Pounders please visit this link. https://sdfish.com/forums/t/shore-pounders-general-info.183133/

    Current standings:

    Biggest bass ($105)
    1. silentONE 17”
    2. shimmyfish 15”
    3. blkdackz1 14”

    Smallest bass ($70)
    1. K-Bo Smack 7”
    1. Cupidont13 7”
    3. Paulito 7.5”

    Biggest corvina ($45)
    None reported :(

    Biggest yellowfin croaker ($30)
    None reported :(

    Halibut pot ($425)

Seasonal contest payouts are 60/30/10 for three places. Ties are paid either 45/45/10, 60/20/20, or 60/30/5/5.
If you entered the corvina or yfc contest and there is no winner by the seasons end, you’ll have credit towards the next season that you’ll be able to use on any seasonal contest.
I hope someday we can have the amount of participants as we used to, $140 contests were the norm.

Are you using the fly rod Kai? That may get me to come back from the river early. It would be nice to fish with you again.I would love to catch that halibut. If I did I would donate the winning to Kevin. He deserves it. Bunch of good dudes in this group.

Yep - I always use a fly rod during shore pounders - except for that one time my rod busted mid double haul, had to resort to a spinning rod backup I always keep in the truck that time...
