I got to ski beach about 6:30 this past Sunday, low tide I fished for 3 hours, I had 5 bites but I didn't get to see any of the fish. I was using a homemade underspin made with a VMC belly weight hook and a Yamamoto white and silver Shad bait, out of the five bites one was a hard boom, boom boom and then it was gone but I could tell it was a bigger fish then what was hitting earlier, I had my boots on and waded out towards the bridge, I was startled when I was concentrating on my retrieve when a foot away from me a small 12" or so Ray came up and circled me on the top of the water it looked like it was coming after me for some reason very strange. Fun day, at least I felt partial tugs.
Here's a pic of my homemade underspin it got bit so that a good sign
