Went out in the storm, 4 pm set, late because I waited 45 min. for bait! First pull (50') at 5:45, moved shallower, different area, (25'), twice, pulled the plug at 9:45. Used dinos cut, with catfood. Second skunk in a row, both in storms! Depressing!!!

West opening in the mouth of the channel, by the green buoy. Zunga had plenty of people working it deep.

Blanked again! Last night, incoming tide, the day before the full moon, (Today) SD bay, 10 traps, 6 sets, new areas (given up by a guy who moved to Texas and used to get big bug at the spot) for nothing! I even doubled down on the bait, using 2 salmon heads, and cages with my usual tubes. This sucks! Ideas?

I was taught that fresh smashed sardines in the PVC drilled bait tube, and salmon heads are the 2 best options over everything else for bait. I was taught by a guy who's fingers were all smashed/bent/ripped up from "rinsing his hands in the water at night" when a sea lion attacked the smell and water movement and destroyed his digits. (sea lions were chasing our nets up too when I fished for them)There's the only tips I have since I found out later that it was easier to just buy 1 or 2 at the store rather than staying up half a night working my *** off with buddies and drinking coors light..LOL
