Both wild card games were great.
Expect this NLDS to be just as riveting with games coming down to the wire.

One word of caution though - Jansen...
He pitched a solid inning last night, but has been owned by the Giants this year

Not sure how I feel about this? Exactly where do you want the Dodgers to go?

The Padres started well and went downhill............you just wait until next near(heard that one before?...ha ha)
Born and raised in San Diego........sorry but personally I can never be a Dodger fan......but if that is your team, more power to you.

I can understand this... I feel the same way about the Dodgers... Except I would root for the Padres over the hated Giants, Yankees or especially the Houston Asterisks...

ya know...there was a time when there were NO padres in MLB...there were giants and dodgers...some chose to root for a CA team

some were merely fans of the players....say willy...koufax...drysdale...back in the day when it didnt take em 2 minutes to adjust all the chit they wear to bat...EVERY damn pitch

Fun fact: Padres and Angels are the only native CA teams in MLB...

Dodgers payroll is 60 Million more than the next closest team. Why should we be rooting for them again?

You refer to the Yankees as "hated", which seems the norm for most baseball fans living outside of NY, but didn't the Yankees earn the title of "Evil Empire" in the early 2000's mainly because of their spending habits?

that is NOT true...I guess...depending on which source you deem to be correct

the dodgers are "only" $40 mill more than the chitty padres...and I bet the dodgers bring a hell of a lot more revenue than the padres

I did donate about $50 to the padres this year...for a car flag and a hoodie...for my mom...

I think the difference between our two lists is the one I posted includes players on the IR, and players down in the minors still earning big-league salaries. I'm not sure if yours includes all that. I know before the season started they were making a big deal about the Dodgers giving that huge contract to Bauer. Not just because they gave him the highest annual contract ever in baseball, but also because that signing caused them to go over the $210 million luxury tax threshold (the only team to do so at the time). Yet your list shows them below that number despite having since added the remainder of Turner and Scherzer's contracts at the deadline.

The interesting thing will be what happens with Trevor Bauer, and whether they will have to continue paying him. So far they are still paying him.

Right on V.Bass.....I have NEVER root for a L.A. Team....It go's way back to my very first Padre and Dodger game at the Murf back in 1969. And if any of you can remember games way back in those days and the Padres hardy ever beat the Dodgers. I think that's when the I hate the Dodgers started......Beat L.A

L.A. can have em all. Only two winning teams we ever had didn't get enough patronage to keep em alive, so hell with it. Put a soccer arena and a bull ring in and some hotels, I say (joking, sort of)...
