Hit the cliffs for a quickie session, ended up with three nice jacks, a salema for bait, and a bonus kelpfish. Got some footage, but no idea on how to get it uploaded, since my computer seems deader than a bubba accuser. Chum was Thanksgiving leftovers, mostly mashed potatoes and stuffing. With a few chunks of turkey, ham and pork mixed with some wilted spinach expired a week or three ago. Bite turned off at sundown. Fun fun, had em boiling for a second too.. will post a video of I can. No computer at the moment, so no idea how to do so with a crap spare Chromebook... Ah well.. still good.. man, the scenery.. kept my eyes down and stuck to an abandoned section of rocks..

Need to go hit that "sand bass city" spot too, almost that time of year for tanks down there. Sprained my wrist pretty good this weekend, hoping it's ready to fish in a day or two.

What even are those little “jacks” as you call them. Aren’t they some kind of mackerel?

Not related. They are a carangid, like yellowtail, not a scombrid like chub mackerel. The term "jack mackerel" is an inaccuracy and a misnomer. Taste better than a yellow too
