Well I must say, I had an awesome trip this morning (07:00-12:30) with Tahoe Sport Fishing. Caught my first ever fresh water fish...in a very, very long time. Only 5 of us on the boat (minus capt. & deckhand), limit is 2 Mack/person, I tapped out mid trip, total of 8 caught fish on a limit of 10. Of course there was good music, conversation, and fishing. Learned a lot from the crew too. My first Mackinaw is 14.7lbs. and 30", second mackinaw was only about 2lbs. & 13" or so. Capt. said first year they grow about 2-3lbs and about a 1/2lb each year thereafter. Both were caught in between 120'-55'. I get a pic on the wall and they fillet anything over single digits in weight. Enjoy the pics.

Thank you Alex ! Definitely a good time for sure. I recommend the Capt. I was fishing with, def knew the area aside from the markers on the GPS.

Thanks Coach! It was a record fish, but not THE record fish. That was a cool feeling either way.

Pulled to the surface too quick to equalize on its own...what happens when a swim bladder puffs up.

Roughly $150 plus gratuity. I feel it was very reasonable considering the weather wasn’t warm enough for the fish to be too deep (400-700’).

Haven’t tried it yet, cleaned it, froze it, going to try making some jerky, blackened, fried, all sorts when I get home early next week.
