Of the year until March 2022 at my home lake. Got there at 6:30 and fished till noon. Started out with a frog and that paid off right away. Four casts later and I got this nice 3 pound guy.

The horses were all over the shoreline getting a drink and shouting words of encouragement to me :^)

They started busting the surface and I caught this little guy on a fluke.

Noticed a little pocket(cove) with boulders and threw my frog again....paid off big time. 5 1/2 pound beauty.

Headed back to the dock and they started busting again right in front of my boat. Stopped and threw a fluke at them and BAM...got his nice one for the last fish of the day.

Looks like this one has been eating good and filling up for Winter. Called it a day after this one was caught.
Looks like San V and El Cap and maybe Murray from here on out till I put the boat away for the winter. Tight lines to everyone!!

Looks like your best day of the year finally came at the last day the lake was open. So glad you stay determined to hit the lake again on Sunday. I know you are glad you did and happy as your favorite bait paid off nicely.
Every time I think of you fishing I think you are throwing Mr. Ribbit. Yay...frog fish!!!
Anyway nice job and hope you have some great days before you put your boat away for the winter at some of the other lakes. :)

It was a fun morning out there. Of course catching a couple of nice ones with Ribbit made my day/week/month.
Yes, unfortunately like in Game of Thrones, Winter is Coming. I'll hit El Cap and San V and maybe even make it down to your home lake before I put the boat away. Tight lines my friend!

Great job! I knew the weather was going to be on your side! Frogs and flukes, what more could you ask for? Vinny and I voted for you to keep your boat out of dry dock this winter! There's some great topwater to be had during the winter, got some nice fish all winter long last year!

Thanks! I might have to veto you and Vinny, though....I don't like the cold weather, or maybe it doesn't like me.
We'll see how long I keep her water ready...depends on the weather mostly.
