The water is up 6 feet at Sutherland the launch is more accessible, but alot of debris is in the water.

I caught two right off the launch dock. Drop shotting a 4 inch morning dawn with chartreuse tail at 2 o'clock

Thanks for the update. I've been wanting to get back there this year, but that launch was awful.

Yeah, its still not the greatest launch but its alot better. I watched a couple of Ranger boats launch, with no problems.

i was there this weekend for my first time. I have a 17 foot stratos and had no real problem launching but did get my feet wet. Only being a boat owner for 6 moths I guess you can still can me a rookie.

True, there is a lot of debris. Had to take the boat and trailer to a car wash after and power wash it.

Water is stained and 72 degrees. Lot of bait splashing in the morning.

Incredible amount of carp in this lake. you will see them everywhere all day long. Show a guy bow hunting carp and pick one off. I told him he was my hero.

Yes, but she is a Bass Hound, not a carp hound.

Are they going to be raising it? I wish we could schedule a club tournament out there but the launch conditions would have to be much more improved...

Fished there last Friday....caught 9 fish the biggest being 4 pounds
it was all reaction bites....fished plastics for awhile but the little bait fish breaking so I matched the hatch with a small minnow bait.....and the bite was on....however, I did get the 4 on a chartruese spinnerbait......the fish are active. the great thing about sutherland is that there were only 7 boats there on fri....had the lake to ourselves..... watch out for sucking up debris into the motor....watch yer pee hole.....mine got clogged wait that dosen't sound good!

They should have a carp round up like they just had at big bear over the weekend, they took 5000 lbs of carp out of the lake. They are having one at Lake Henshaw on the 21st of this month.
