    Last week at Harbor Island we hooked up with not one but 2 nice banded guitarfish! I know coach loves the banded guitarfish! We seem to be catching quite a few of these guys between Harbor Island and over by the harbor police station at Shelter Island. Cool fish and great fighters!

    Thanks. I actually caught the one pictured on the sidewalk. Finally posting some of my catches! I’m tired of the kid getting all the glory!

    I am sure some people eat them but I have never attempted. Maybe Coach can shed some light.

    If they taste anything like SNGF they are probably delicious. Too rare and beautiful for me to try one, lol

    Very rare catch for most if any but you seem to have them dialed in, wtg!

    Yes I have been shocked at the numbers we find them. However, we do fish the bottom usually with fresh macks and sardines with sardines getting the most action.
