If you're into spotties and are near south bay, it is ON FIRE! Multiple bites every cast, and I've gone through quite a few swimbaits so far. I've had fish hit right as the lure is coming to the surface at my feet. WFO!! Phone died right off the bat, but I'm at 13 so far with a lot of terrible hooksets that have led to a ton of lost fish because it's been a few months for me and I'm getting back in the groove of things. Also, the fish I've gotten are all of good size, smallest being 9" and largest being 15". So if you're in the area hit me up at the Cays. Just taking a quick break to charge my phone inside and send this out. IMG_0139.JPG IMG_0144.JPG IMG_0142.JPG IMG_0143.JPG Got a bit mad at this damn fish under the dock who's been ripping the claws of my swimbaits until he finally just took the whole swimbait off the hook.

If they are biting you should go ahead and chop up some those macs in your freezer and start chummin. Get em so that you can catch them on the top, fly line pieces of mac.

I think I jinxed myself by posting this. When I got back to fishing I got a few taps, an 8", and then the bite was shut off. However, the tide is coming in and I think it'll be good again when it hits its peak. I'm gonna keep on trucking and see when that time comes. Feels good to be back!

Already a step ahead of you, lol. Maybe I'll get some sharks while I'm at it.

That's how it goes for me. I have the one from limits curse. Regardless of what I'm fishing. Trout are the worst for me. I'll catch 4 in 20 minutes then it takes me 8 hours to catch number 5. Anyhow, way to catch em. You are living a dream being able to fish out your back door. I would never go to work. Do you ever get bonefish back there? I had a buddy I used to fish batrays with down there. We got some monsters back in those slips.

I'm actually yet to catch a bonefish or a bat from in there. Corvina, bass, and smooth hound are definitely present though. With all the baiting and waiting I've done in there, I'm surprised there's bat rays in there. I remember my first shark out of there was actually a big *** blacktip that made little 8 year-old me nearly shyt my pants. I've been seeing a lot of mackerel and smelt in there which is pretty rare, along with corvina boiling on them. Best kept secret for sure.

No bats? They were thick when I fished there but then again that was 18 years ago. We caught alot of shovel nose and bats. We fished a few different places that he had permission. One beach off of spinnaker we killed the bats.

I've never seen a bat in there, and I've only pulled one shovel out of there and that was probably 7 years ago.

It was really good in August. One day we were sight fishing them. That's weird you never got them. Maybe it was a freak couple of years but my buddy made it sound as if it was normal. You would know more them me as its been 18 years.

You remember that old building on stilts that used to be down in southbay? I remember there being a lot of fish under that, but that was when it was still there and I was really little.

It's been a repeated offense unfortunately. Leave it in the hot car for a little bit, and come back to find that I have a whole bag of liquid z man
