    You called it for sure.

That's weird. Maybe you have longer legs. I just feel like if I'm sitting against the backrest, my legs are not in the water enough to get a full kicking motion without breaking the surface.

Hah, I'm seriously going to get a flotation cushion to use as a backrest, so kind of the same thing. I just need to sit further forward, not higher :).

I hear ya, I still break the surface a little bit but thats because the fins I use are long. I definitely needed time to adjust from the donut style because you are basically in a booster chair for children lol. These thrusters your using, are they like a set of old school kickers? I'm not familiar with thrusters but my buddy swore by kickers that wrapped only around the heel of his wading boot. He was slow as all heck but he fished going forward rather than kicking backward over a spot to turn around and fish. His were made by Hodgman I believe.

I have one that is 13" x 13" and about 4" thick. I had it cut into the seat but did not like it. Would that work for you? I could mail it to you. It is made of the same stuff that those surf mats were made of, back in the day. You know, the ones you could rent at Mission Beach!

Appreciate the offer, but it'd cost more to mail it then it would for me to buy one. They're like $8 at Academy, just have to remember to grab one next time I'm there.
