    Really tough fishing today.
    On water by 7.
Tried crankbaits, spinnerbaits, creature baits, DS, worms..
    Nada!
Beautiful weather, water temps between 65 to 69
    Dark iced tea color water
Very little wind or boat traffic
    Uncooperative fish!
    Triple skunk!
    Ugh :(

I feel your pain! Was on the water about 7:30. Tried jigs, chatters, cranks, even the venerable 912 Senkos but no luck. Pulled out at 1. Maybe the late afternoon guys will do better.

It entered my mind last night to maybe take my kayak to El Cap, but I was too lazy I guess and nixed that idea. Sorry to hear about your day. Everything you threw is the same any bass fishermen(including me) would have tried. I hate days like that. Anyway, I know you will catch'em next time around. Tight lines always!

I was there Sunday too. On the water by 6:45. Fished until noon with 2 bites flippin the sticks with a Craw. Missed both as they were short strikes. Had high hopes, but ended up being a rough day. Talked to a few boats with the same report...Skunk!

I think the lack of water clarity is the main factor to why fishing is so tough right now at El.Cap.
All the flooded brush & trees are steeping like tea in the lake. & I bet the ph is off & the lake is in sort of a transitional period right now.

Sounds very post-spawn like..I see wide open around the corner once the fish recoupe, the fry start running around, and the shad spawn...lake looks so good now!
