Trump’s Latest Wild Wind Power Claim:
The ‘Noise’ From Windmills Causes Cancer.

On April 2, Trump talking about wind mills at the NRCC dinner quoted as saying: "They say the noise causes cancer.”
Just curious if anyone has any comments about this claim.
First of all there is zero scientific validity as cancer is not caused by noises of any kind. It doesn't matter what side you are on, but just wanted to see how people spin this as this came right out of his mouth and not some made up fake news story.
    Let the show begin.............. :)

I really suspect that someone feeds him information - much of it being technical explanations of how something works or the current status of a situation and he doesn't listen 100%, confuses a few parts and then speaks on it - incorrectly.
When he goes off script, he really goes off. Listening to a bit or two when he was in Michigan talking about the depths of the lakes, which are deep, but his short talk about it is really unfortunate.

That being said, he did write up something recently about protecting products/industry from counterfeit products - which I would think there is already something in place... and then I thought he probably had his daughter's product line in mind.

Yes, he is still the president and we should listen to him - not because we like/hate him, because he can make an impact to our daily lives.

Perhaps he was being sarcastic? California seems to think everything causes cancer.

On one hand, I would think he was joking. On the other hand, I have thought lots of his statements were jokes. Now we are actually getting a wall made of slats.:emoji_scream:

There was a claim made years ago a local tribe had a huge rise in cancer after the windmills were put up. There were also complaints of sleeplessness and other health issues. I believe some of the issues were associated to the low frequency sound that the turbines make. I think the cancer claims were more to do with the power line theory.I read about it in one of the local magazines and never saw anything else about it after that. I think the cancer link was was debunked but I have heard this claim before.

Yep...kind of like the "there is no crisis on the southern border" statement. ALL politiciansl lack something it just takes the ability for us all tò stop being sheep and blindly following mainstream media and preconceived notions and start thinking for ourseĺves.

Noise cancer...not likely. Border crisis...absolutely. Again, common sense applies not political sense.

I think the noise the turbines make is when the blades hit a hawk or eagle or when a bearing goes out. Causes cancer? Not!

Any periodic variation in the air pressure can produce sound waves. The large-area propellers yielding to wind to rotate the wind turbine shaft can produce such sound waves with low enough frequency below 16 - 20 Hz that humans cannot hear with their ears. But when it's strong enough such air vibration can be sensed with other body parts. Have you ever felt a very strong bass from those four-wheeled boom-boxes on the road with your stomach and your hands on the wheel? Frequency at about 7 Hz is well known to have strong psychological effects in humans. I even heard that powerful 7 Hz horns were used to excite crowds. So, there is some truth that constant sound from array of wind mills can be detrimental to human health but maybe a stretch to cancer is a too long shot speculation.

I must admit, there have been things Trump has said in the past that people didn't believe but ended up true. Crisis at the border for one - can't remember others, and have no data to support my statement. But there have been things he has said that are out there as well. So, I guess this one could be either way.

There have been many things he has said that have not been true. If he would just keep off twitter he would be a little better off and not put his foot in his mouth as much. He gets himself in trouble saying crazy things when he is off script. If I worked in the Whitehouse, I would keep him off twitter unless someone proofed it or made sure things were accurate. Without his twitter tantrums, he could focus more on things that impact us in America, rather than worrying and tweeting like crazy for example: ranting on about the skits on Saturday night live, when every President since 1975 has been portrayed in flattering and not so flattering ways. He should not be wasting Presidential time on that type of crap. A President usually has tons of responsibilities to take care of and his staff should be helping him focus on more relevant things.
