Trump/Syria

Utter soup sandwich that everyone was against but POTUS went ahead with it. Our allies in the ISIS fight are going to get slaughtered by our NATO ally. They are aligning with our real enemies for their survival and then when they fight the Turks, our NATO ally, we can't attack Turkey but will have to kill the Kurds we promised to protect.

Don't worry the Trumpians will defend this as a brilliant move on Trumps part as we now have broken Americas word and no nation will ever trust us to fight bad guys with beside us ever again.

All that money and blood to beat ISIS down wasted. Thanks a heap.

You watch that The Matt Goetz, Jim Jordans, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh et all that Trump can do no wrong people will justify this somehow.

Seems like the US could have at least evacuated them to northern Iraq . The kurds are well accepted there and there is a large Kurdish population in the area , Turkey considers the Kurds that didn't accept Turkish rule to be terrorists since they want their own sovereign state . Turkey wants to repatriate a large Syrian refugee population as well . The Syrians want the area back under their control and is not going to let them form their own state , Isis may have a hard time with the Syrians since they were brought there from all around the area and really don't have anywhere to go . I know we claim to not have a military presence in Iraq but it may be easier to let the locals handle it and most Americans take the easy way out . Its a shame to Sh&t on our allies . NATO needs to take it up with Turkey as a group not just the USA. Perhaps a Kurdish state in the area can be negotiated with Iraq . It would be nice to be able to bring our people home and let the 2000 year old tribal battles take their course. Do we really need the oil that much ??? Just my 2 cents . WR

 

I hope people understand that our Kurdish allies have been fighting ISIS along U.S. troops and read that close to 11,000 Kurdish forces have died in the fight against ISIS. They will now be just left alone and to fend for themselves fighting Turkey at the border? What is being done here(US Withdrawal) by abandoning our friends in the region will be sending the wrong message to other allies that we may need their help in the future. What allies would gladly jump in to help us if they see that we may just turn our back on them? Sad...but what do I know.

 

I agree. I love the guy. But there are a few thing I absolutely hate about him. One, I wish sometimes he would shut his mouth and not feel like he has to constantly egg-on the Dems. Two, I wish he would tie his damm hands behind his back so he couldnt use them when he talked. And three, he's a horrible speaker.. but when he does speak, its plainly obvious that he's NOT a politician.. and thats EXACTLY why I voted for him.
