Fished all morning catching nada Then I peddled down by the Eagles nest and wham a nice 5# in about 25' of water on the swamp crawler green pumpkin on the drop shot. My new phone did not take the picture due to operator error. I connected with 2 more a 3# and a 2# same bait same area. I spotted a lot of bass hanging on structure in about 42 to 50' suspended 1 to 2 ' off the bottom. I did try a couple of spoons without any bites. I do need to learn this technique better. Quite a few boats on the lake as well as Yaks. Doesn't anyone go to work anymore? I will hit the lake again on bad luck day. Friday 13th if all goes well. Tight lines and hand grenades. Robo out

Sounds like a blast. Any bass out of Murray is a victory in my book.

Posted already on another subject, Hope for less crowd tomorrow and at least 1 fish. I’m in a white Champion stop and say HI. I wonder every time I fish (which is 2-3 times a week) why no one works, I’ve been retired for 13 years and it seems it gets more and more crowed ever year, to many people in SD good luck tomorrow. My go to drop shot is the swamp crawler in the same color

Hey Robo I have not seen you forever.
I just figured you’re catching a lot of fish down at the bay and don’t wanna come to Murray too much ha ha. Anyway glad to see you got some fish and the spoon bite is still tough but should be picking up as it gets cooler the next few months. Hope to see you out there one day soon!
    Tight lines. :)

Hey Robo1 ..... by the way if mcfish ever tries to give you advice on using spoons....I would politely decline.
He told me once to use 90 pound braid and take the spoon and paint it black so the bass can see it with the thousands of other shad down there. Then he told me to swing my fishing rod like I’m trying to hit a homerun as if it’s a baseball bat so that the bass could catch up to it......Needless to say I never caught a thing.
Sounds like you’re doing better with worms anyway. :)
    Hope 2 C ya soon!

Hi Vinny we just got back from the Cayman Islands and Orlando Florida. I almost went to the bay today but there is a high surf warning in effect until next Monday. When the tide is a ripping it is hard to keep it on the bottom for the halibuts and bass. I just got my 2020 fishing license at the DFG Ruffin Rd. We probably will be home until late May then we have a Trans Atlantic cruise from NYC Greenland Iceland Scotland Ireland and London. I went diving in the Cayman's with the stingrays and there were a lot of barracudas too. It was fun. We also had a personal guided tour of the resorts and waterways adjacent to Disney World. In January we have a Colorado float trip for about 3 days. I'm calling in sick tomorrow morning and going fishing. See you out on the water soon. Robo

Yeah.....maybe you’re right...,I need to change some of my habits and patterns so I could be like mcfish
There used to be a Gatorade commercial many years ago called “Be like Mike” and it was referring to Michael Jordan. The actual idea came from fishermen who wanted to be like mcfish and someone in Los Angeles took the idea and ran with it. Anything associated with mcfish is a good thing!

Robo1 ... what type of fishing scale do you use when you are in your kayak? Do you have a digital one or a boca grip style one? I’m always interested in a portable scale to just have in my kayak.
Slowly but surely I’m trying to have separate tackle and accessories ...stuff for my boat and stuff for my kayak. Every time I take my kayak and then I want to take my boat, it’s a major chore moving tackle back-and-forth and other things.

Hey mcfish ...I could see why the fish you catch always way more than the ones I catch. It’s not fair that you’re using that scale!

My wife's luggage scale. Such i have to sneak it out of the house early in the morning. Take the fishing equipment status away and save some money. I do like the grip style one though and may have to invest for one of them. I rarely use my net and do use my plastic Rapala fish grips especially for halibut biting my fingers. Ouch.

My fish are bigger because I don't weigh them...i just guess and then round up 2lbs! I was sure my technique would help me win tornaments... but they always wanted to weigh my fish...dam!

That’s funny because the bass you were holding that I took a picture of with your phone is the same size as my bass that you took a picture of me with my phone.
Where can I buy a phone like yours ?
Seems to make things larger and they always say big is better
