I don't know what else to say. I boogie boarded for years and peed at random..but I was IN the water the..I'm not IN the water in my float tube. My tube keeps me elevated well out of the water and that's one of the reasons why I bought it. So I'm literally dry the entire session. I don't think I'd be happy sitting in my own urine.

I do too... but at my age it gets friggin' cold in the water during the winter early spring months. Other than that I'm not wearing them either.

Was just looking at some other comments on here. Float tubing through God knows whatever chemicals/trash/oils/etc in the bay at the moment doesn't bother me. Sitting in my own urine when I clearly don't have to, does.

I was just referring to the local lakes that make you wear them year round trying to keep the water from being contaminated even though we are all still pissing in there any ways. Same as the birds and fish and turtles and plus’s all the lead and other tackle sitting at the bottom of the lake from snags and leaky outboards spewing fuel/oil into the water. If your telling me the rule of wearing waders at local resivoirs isn’t enforced than that’s is good news for me

Ok so what I’ve always done is turn around put my knees on the seat pull the waders down enough to whip it out and then I lean forward over my back rest and piss down so that your junk isn’t all out in the open, also so you don’t become a red dot. Your welcome

OMG !! You drained all over the backside of your boat? I mean, I'm assuming you did because I know of no one that could achieve a continuous stream long enough to keep it launched beyond the boat ! That dribble has to go somewhere ! No disrespect intended, but...:emoji_joy::emoji_joy::emoji_joy:

I never once meant pissing inside my waders. I thought you were talking about peeing in the water and being worried the "piss contaminated" water would be around you

Considering all of the other "real" contaminants that we come in contact with in our bay waters, a little wizz means nothing. This post gets funnier as we drag it out ! I can't believe its gone on this long !! But its a decent subject and one that deserves a bit of attention.

Peeing thru a tube and letting it pour out into the bay seemed the smartest thing for me to do (speaking for myself only). Just keeps my own whiz from getting all over my waders (when I'm wearing them), my boat, my seat, my boat apron, etc. That's all. And any whiz that hits the water is immediately dissipated into nothing as it is. Whiz vs. battery acid. The ocean heals and takes care of herself well. She knows how to get rid of a little whiz.

Beware of gatorade bottles, they fill up faster than you think.

I don’t float tube but I have a yak that I fish all over southbay with. If I gotta go, I just take a quick second to make sure there’s not a bunch of kids swimming at Grand Caribe then I stand up in the Revo 11 and get to work. Once I’m done just put the rod back in the rod holder and continue fishing.
