My daughter sent me this photo from her costco gas station in Missouri, while I happened to be at my costco here in San Diego. See any differences???? 20191023_132655.jpg Screenshot_20191023-132005_Messages.jpg

I see a huge difference! The octane rating in Missouri is 93 - and we are only getting 91 !!!

Yeah - that's a big joke - the governor is going to investigate why the price is so high here in CA. It is because people voted for a higher tax. There, I just did his job.

And that folks is why it is a bum deal for California to only use gasoline refined in state in order to maintain our commitment to environmental protection. And seriously pad the pockets of folks in Sacramento.

Was just listening to Limbaugh (I know.. so many people hate Limbaugh). He was talking about the gas prices as well saying pretty much the same thing.. he is surprised that a state so inundated with homeless issues, the laziness of millennials and folks still on EBT, welfare and social security, seems to have no problem whatsoever with paying for the cost of fuel. Part of it is, we're all so geared into our personal independence that we just dont care what the price of fuel is.. as long as we can keep driving our personal vehicles and avoid buses, carpooling or the trolley, were down for any price. And I know for sure that some are actually forfeiting their rent money, other bills and maybe even food for the week in favor of buying fuel for their cars so that their personal independence and freedom to drive alone in their own vehicles can be continued.

Its hard for me to understand how this state clearly doesnt mind paying more for fuel than anywhere else - and for no reason - other than the state asshats and fuel companies know that we will pay any price they tell us.

You mean the tax that was supposed to create 50 Billion over 10 years for INFRASTRUCTURE? That tax? The last audit claimed the state was unable to account for its whereabouts. I'm sure no one was surprised. Just more lies, and total cover from the upper tier justice system.

I can only imagine how many Hampton summer homes we've paid for over the last few years since this joke infrastructure tax has been in place.

I would like to be able to take the trolley - but pulling up google maps and doing the route, using a bus, then trolley will take over 3x the time, and include 29 minutes of walking. I have no problem with the walking, weather permitting. And this is only 8.6 miles from work to home. This also changes the quality of life significantly. Instead of me getting home at about 5pm, (leaving at 4:30pm), I'll get home at 6:15pm. For the reverse direction in the morning, well, google tells me to leave my house at 6:43pm. They must have a bug in their system. So much for that idea. Yeah, I could look up the bus route on-line, and the trolley schedule on-line - but this is why I don't use public transportation.

I'm convinced the trolley was built for two things; people who dont/cant drive a personal car, and the homeless. There should be no surprise as to why people just dont ride the trolley.. jump on any trolley car at any time of day if you think I'm kidding... that is, if you make it alive while standing around at any trolley stop waiting for your trolley to arrive.

But you meet the nicest people on the Trolly! Last Padre game I went to I rode the trolley and there were two drunk guys in the back yelling obscenities at each other. For my wife's sake I considered confronting them but my good judgement prevailed.

This crap about gas has been going on for decades as California always seems to have higher gas prices under any governor or President, Republican or Democrat. Highest recorded gas prices(unleaded regular)in California was in June 2008 when George W Bush was president, but I don't blame him personally. I used to get upset talking to relatives in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey etc and when our gas was high....they always had less expensive gas back there. This is not something new. There is not just one person to blame for this BS.
If it is that bad and you can't seem to deal with it....people should move. I am saying that in a nice way and not in anger. I was born in San Diego and love California and I am not going anywhere(especially from the fishing we have to offer here).

Now regarding another subject....the tolley.... Creek hit it on the head by saying:
I'm convinced the trolley was built for two things; people who dont/cant drive a personal car, and the homeless.

True enough VinnyBass , but this governor pretends not to know why the prices are so high.
