Just had to get back to the Big B again before closing( Sunday, 9/29). This lake can change on a dime as they say. Started tubing at the dam, a great place to launch with deep water and plenty of structure. I began with the frog, had 5 blowups but no tackers. Sure was fun to watch first thing in the am. Pretty much flat calm conditions throughout the day, very little wind and up to the mid 80's..... I would say perfect. I finished with 9 lmb, biggest 3.10, 2.10, 3.2, all nice fish. 4 were 1lb or close. 3" MC swimbsits with 1/8 oz darter head and 4" plastic paddletails(weedless hooked) worked the best for me. The bass seemed to be holding close to the structure(trees, rocks, etc) in 5 to 10 feet of water. Tried the weedless creature baits deeper to no avail, usually pretty successful method at the B. Water holding steady @ 72*. Saw a few breakers. All in all another STUNNING DAY at Barrett. Many thanks again to the great staff for hosting, that place is pretty special.

ps I found a Rapala 5XD in the trees, my first thought was that the barbs would NOT be bent down.........I was right. To the fisherman who lost this.........shame on you.......DFG needs to teach you a lesson!! P1040273.JPG P1040274.JPG P1040273.JPG P1040274.JPG 20190918_100007.jpg

I have yet to find a lure there with the barbs bent down.

Always a positive report from ya Tommy. Good call out on the barbs. By the way can I have that 5XD back?
