When I was a teenager living in the boonies in Alaska I had a Remington 22 with a clip, semi automatic, I could empty the clip pretty fast, then just replace the magazine. It didn't look like an assault weapon but could still do some damage. All.of the kids had rifles and shotguns. We would remove the plug from the shotguns to hold more shells. We would hunt and fish and carry our weapons openly and no one thought anything about it. The only way to get there was to fly in. One law enforcement person for hundreds of miles to cover. No one ever killed anyone while I was living there. Every one just made their living. No house break-ins because everyone had weapons.
