    Does anyone fish at Night?
Some of the best Bass and Catfish angling is at night.
Also , crappie and white bass under a light. Alot of great action.

Stock tilapia in Otay. Great forage for bass. That's what makes El Salto so good.

We need year round day use/launching permits to all the lakes. This buying a permit everyday is a joke. Get a sticker for your truck and a sticker for your boat and call it good.

Really, anything we fish for here in f/w is an introduced pest.. I really have no idea why snakehead, tilapia, rainbow bass, etc would be all that big a deal. On the other hand, I get that we don't want more bio pests too..

They say the secret to El Salto's giant bass is Tilapia. Ergo, if Tilapia were introduced to Otay we might have another table fish that provides LMB with forage.

I think it's likely that the real secret to the giant bass at salto and the other sonoran reservoirs is the gill netting...

Would someone list the changes that have come about as a result of this thread? Lots of good ideas here!

I was chided for doubting the usefulness of this thread. Just wondering if, in fact, I was right.

Beautiful, Biggbass, but you left out the interminable studies which must be done before nothing is done...

Let me reinstate the stupidity of not allowing float tubers, even with waders, at some lakes (DIXON). Are float tubes/waders more pollutants than bird crap and everything else that goes on in the lake? Explanation please...

If you want to fish a SD reservoir that was illegally/erroneously stocked with Tilapia a few years back try Hodges. Though I would say Hodges on its best day is not exactly fishing like El Salto on it's worst day.

Ok? I was just asking what the negative side effects were to tilapia in a lake because I really don't have a clue... and I still don't

Let me snap my fingers and make your wishes come true...

    Darn, that didn't work.

This thread might end up being worthless, but we know for sure your last couple posts in it have been. If you don't believe in generating a list of ideas, looking to identify some common ground that is good for all, yet also achievable, then just stay out of the thread.

Wish there was some way to repave the road from the dam into El Cap. One reason I don't go to El Cap is the damage to my vehicles over time.

First aid kits at the docks/general stores.

I had a very minor incident that could have been bad (potential allergic reaction).

Went to the dock at Otay and the store. There wasn't a first aid kit worth a damn af either of those locations.

One of the City staff had a kit, but it was also useles.

I guess you should say that I should have one and now I'll make sure to have something on standby.

Hard to believe that City ran facilities didn't have fully stocked kits.

If they had fully stocked kits , they would also be required to have trained personal to use items in said kit from what I recall
