Honestly couldn’t tell ya. Was fishing next to some lady smokin’ Some flowers July 4th weekend. She was using a sabiki off the pier and catching yellow fin and spot fin juveniles every couple minutes. My buddy used a couple for live bait, the rest I forced him to toss back...but wth man?! Just a sabiki, no bait, off the pier, she was the only one not catching Mack’s. Sorry bud.

On another note, I would try sand crabs and shrimp for the next few weeks.

The people that I have known that could consistently catch them , always had the best looking Ghost shimp that you could want to see . Large and healthy . A few always said blood worms . Good luck !

Right now, sc's & blood worms. I've had good luck in the Fall with clams. The ghost shrimp are real good as well but they're so damn hard to keep on the hook.

Shrimp and ghosts work alright for spotfin, not compared to razors for me, but market shrimp will catch just about anything anyway... Mussel too, actually

When I was a kid we used what is called a clam spear to get the razors . Kind of like a little arrow made of wire . Does anyone still do that ?

I’ve never caught one myself, but people were catching them on blood worms and ghost shrimp during the Spring at Fiesta Island...... oops I think I’ve said too much. Lol.

Clam spears are illegal, you have to dig them up.

Quick question...we dig razor clams here in Washington, they are delicious! Are these the same clams that you guys are referring to?
