Just moved from WA and I'm looking forward to my first catch of lobsters. Had a ring net I used once (in Oct.) close to Coronado bay inlet but no luck. Bought a full gear to dive and catch by hand. Wonder where in Coronado bay is a good start? Those interested to join me (or I them) will be treated to a dinner of pansit (stir fried noodles) - and smoked salmon if a success!!

Lobster season starts here in October and ends April?. The best time is in October.. Need a lobster report card and salt water license.

Not a real good year for langos.. could be some lurking almost anywhere though.. pick some hard structure that you like and dive it.. pilings, buoy anchors, rip rap, sunken boats are favorites.. remember that there is supposed to be no recreational diving in sd bay, so don't be surprised if harbor police roll up on you and tell you to quit..

Reserved a spot for a diving group this week. Hope I get to bring hom a prize catch. The experience though should be worth the fee. I will give an update.

Thanks for the remind about the "no diving...". Checked that a special permit is required. No biggie.I believe it's for general safety.

Away from Oceanside lol. The Tax Man hangs out up the further north you go.

Also, most likely due to navy sub pens and war ships being in the general area.
