I had a thought this morning after struggling yesterday to cast light lures the maximum distance tied to braid. Spincast and spinning reels are always in the boat and pockets in pads and along weedlines the targets, sometimes at distances over 35'. After spraying the spools of both type reels along with the rod guides, I found not only very smooth casts but a noticeable increase in distance using for example a 1/32 oz jig + plastic weight. I have a feeling less messes inherent with braid will be avoided more often than not.

Wow! you got gotta try it!

Does the line have to be dry for it to work?

I was a bit unclear. Does the line have to be dry when you apply the silicone?

It would probably help it soak in since it would normally repel water.

Knocks out that squeak! I think it scares the fish! ;)

BTW, are you related to Fishbreath ? You look a little like him.
