So I had these two little white things under my skin. They were pale, hard, and ******** annoying. So I had the genius idea of trying to cut them out seeing how they are just underneath the skin. Now I have an issue! They won’t stop bleeding. One is one my lip, the other one is on my finger. I stopped the bleeding on my lip with the help of some super glue, and the one on my finger I’m attempting to stop with the use of of a band aid and neosporan. It seems to be working? The superglue has stopped the bleeding on my lip but my finger keeps going. It seems to have slowed down considerable though.

Any idea what these things might be, I’m only going to go to the doctor if it keeps bleeding in the morning.

Trust me I know the herp, this ain’t the herp. Tried cutting it out myself.

Could be something called milia which is basically a mini cyst.. wouldn’t explain the bleeding though.

So the herp comes from personal experience... this is different. Trimmed of the super glue and applied a another coat. A minuscule amount of blood accumulated when I took it off.

Apply pressure and hold your hand over your head. Basic, shipboard first aid....

    And lay off the booze

Warts bleed like crazy. Whatever it is styptic should stop it. You can get it at drug stores or pet stores. Once it stops bleeding, keep it dry for a day or so.

You should probably have a doc look at it. You may have caused a problem worse that you originally had.

Out of curiosity, what made you think a fishing website was the best place to go to for medical advice? My advice is to patch it back together with some Worm Glue and then smear it with Smelly Jelly as a salve. You can always use some finger tape as a tourniquet, just don't get it too tight. And take pictures of it, otherwise other fishermen will think you are exaggerating the size.

Ive fixed many a cut with super glue. I am a big fan of home surgery. If you soak in warm epsion salt it makes cutting the skin much easier. I had to remove fish poisoning before and I had to cut deep.

Well I’d look at the purpose of this thread first, then act like a smart azz.

Second, I asked this forum as I know there a myriad of older individuals who have most likely had more health and wellness related dilemmas through their lives. So, with something as simple as this I was hoping there could one or more individuals who have a solution or a bit of knowledge on what is going on. Particularly when when there is a teeeny weeny cut the the size of a pencil tip that just won’t quit bleeding. It’s an easy fix with super glue, but a first time experience for myself and I’m trying to see a way to efficiently treat it at home if it occurs again in the future without having to spend money at Urgent Care.

You are clearly not one of those individuals.

You've got the surgery process down, seems like you need a little work on your stitching skills.
Another vote here for super glue. I sliced my eye up bad one time and the glue wouldn't come off for a week or two, so make sure it's very, VERY clean before gluing.
