Hit sd bay just after sunrise. The bay way as calm as could be(no current movement) went to the bait barge to join what seemed to be 20+ boats waiting for bait one hour later had bait and where off. Went to one of my usually fishy spots and attempted a drift but with no movement was almost impossible thank goodness I have a trolling motor created my own drift for a couple monster spotties. Lost the bite there and headed to zuniga jetty crossed over and the hali were hungry. Once again had a monster come up but on the weight not the bait dad tells me to get the net but by the time I got it the beast sunk down to the bottom. Hooked in to a 21.5 right after then we could not find anything larger than 18-19. The wind picked up and made my non existent drift a sail fest. Started going to fast and my weight lost contact with the bottom and could not get a bite went back in the bay for one last halo 20 in or so. Wasn't a superb day on the water but I was fishing and not working. 6-7 hali 18-21.5 long and 2 monster spoties 0824190641.jpg 0824190641.jpg 0824191208.jpg 0824191208a.jpg 0824190641.jpg 0824190901.jpg 0824190906.jpg 0824191208.jpg 0824191208b.jpg 0824191208a.jpg
