    Hey Friends!

Still good reports of Yellowtail and skip jack around. I was blessed to be able to hop on the Legend on a friends private chartered trip. Plenty of fish out there, and it seems like the yellowfin are going to stay until thanksgiving. However in any day, they could all be migrated out. If I were you i would get out there if you havent exploited the tuna bite yet this year!

like always i like making a video of my experiences. hope you enjoy!

I was out there on my buddies boat about 40 miles on sunday (at the 401 I think) with around 150 other boats and everyone was hooking up. Lots of yellowfin and I caught my first ever. Was about 30lbs on live bait. My buddy was hooking up a bunch on a big popper. We tried irons and other jigs but the popper was working good.

Really? That’s something I didn’t expect to here from you at all. All I can say is that it’s hella fun.

I would say that it is my favorite way to fish, surface iron at the islands with big yellows.

    Hey Rodney,
Awesome job. I enjoy your videos and your passion.

Perhaps you can add that it’s important to put your reel in free-spool the moment your fish is gaffed....For precisely the reason on both of your gaff jobs on those two YFT.....a reel still in gear at gaff often results in a lost fish if the fish gets off the gaff......
