Well im back on the West Coast and did a run down to BOLA to get some yellows. 1st day on the panga was limits as fast as you could reel them in. 2nd day was time to catch a yellowtail on the paddle board... Think i got a good one.

Excellent hook-up and report......Man what a fight ... it took skill to get that yellow on your board.

Thanks everyone, i couldnt believe the size of the fish when it got to the board. That was the 1st day ive ever seen a yellow go full airborne (not on my bait but part of the school).

Awesome catch. Are there sea lions in the area? That could get really interesting….

By the looks of the video, Looks like it’s clean glassy water and somewhat wide open bite with no predators in sight. Ya.. The good stuff…

ya just a few small sea lions chasing the bait but not big fish. During the filming it was calm but the night before and after we got off the water, 15-30 mph awful wind.

The sleigh ride was the right way to tire him out, that straight up and down looked brutal on an inflatable paddleboard. Wrong day to bring the bluegill pliers eh? I was praying for no headshakes while you were handling those jig removals.

Sweet.. Ya, those winds whip up in a hurry sometimes down there. Had several real close calls fishing up and down Baja in a 17’ Gregor years ago. One real bad one that my buddy and I still talk about to this day. Both of us should not be here today kinda close call.. was in mid 90s at Puerti Citos - puerto citos ? Anyway.. Wind will kill you straight up..

Ya lost the big pliers and was stuck with my mini inshore set, not ideal when trying to get big hooks out. Ya the head shakes are the worst part at the boat. Either pop the board and get the jig stuck in my hand. Either would not be fun.
