BASS – Anglers are catching bass in the 20-50 ft range dropshotting creature baits and swimbaits. Shad like lures and night crawlers will also work great for bass.

STRIPER – There were a many stripers caught this week between 5-6 pounds! Trolling Swim baits and flies in the morning work best for striper. When shad and trout are breaking the surface, it’s best to use lures that mimic them for top water boils.

CATFISH – Anglers caught many catfish between 5-10 pounds. Stink bait and cut bait work best for catfish. Marty Tochtrop of Moreno Valley, pictured above, caught a 9.10 pound catfish using sardines near the I/O tower.

PANFISH – Anglers are catching panfish a pound and under! Night crawlers and mealworms work best for panfish.

TROUT – The trout bite is still on! Anglers were catching many between 5-7 pounds! Rooster tails, powerbait and mini jigs work best for trout. Javier Lopez of Alta Loma caught a 5.34 pound trout using a jig off shoreline.
