With colder weather upon us, bass are moving deeper to warmer water. Anglers are catching bass in the 50-60 ft range dropshotting creature baits. Shad like lures and night crawlers will also work great for bass.
The striper bite slowed down this week. There were a few caught between 5-7 pounds.Trolling Swim baits and flies in the morning work best for striper. When shad and trout are breaking the surface, it’s best to use lures that mimic them for top water boils.
Anglers caught few catfish between 4-6 pounds. Stink bait and cut bait work best for catfish.
Anglers are catching panfish a pound and under! Night crawlers and mealworms work best for panfish.
The trout bite is phenomenal! Anglers are catching many between 4-8 pounds! Rooster tails, kasmasters and mini jigs work best for trout. Jarrod Hampen and Billy Serblic, pictured above, of Moreno Valley caught 6 trout using No Dough lures off shoreline! The biggest trout was 7.51 pounds, and the total weight of all 6 was 33.88 pounds!
