Lake Hodges Fish Report – 5/31/15


The 91 anglers checked at Lake Hodges last week reported catching 66 largemouth bass, 2 crappie and a single channel catfish.

  • Marco Fenelli and Tom Leedom won the San Diego Team Series Tournament at Hodges on Saturday, beating the other 37 teams who fished. They had a 5 bass limit totaling 17.60 pounds including a kicker fish that weighed in at 5.59 pounds. Fenelli and Leedom took home $2,600 for the win.

    The runner up spot went to Jason Clar and Travis Harrison who had 17.30 pounds for their 5 biggest, including a 8.29 pounder that was the biggest single bass of the tournament.

    Launching conditions are good with the lake level sitting 23.46 feet below spill level. The water temperature was reported at 72 degrees.

    Hodges is open on a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday schedule each week for fishing and boating. The concession stand is open and renting boats all 3 days, but please call ahead at (760)432-2023 to confirm their schedule.
