Breaking bass bite consistent at Lower Otay

The 99 anglers checked at Lower Otay reported catching 364 bass to 6.1 pounds and 58 bluegill. Fishing guide Jim Hallauer reports he has consistently been catching the schooling bass in both Otay and Harvey Arms. “They’ve been up for the majority of the day in both arms,” he said. His two clients on Saturday combined for 12 fish averaging 2.5 pounds a piece. He says the water temperature has been around 81 degrees.
