Lower Otay Lake Fish Report – 5/15/16

  • The 46 anglers checked at Lower Otay Lake last week reported catching 138 largemouth bass up to 7.4 pounds, 34 bluegill to 1.75 pounds, and 17 crappie to 2 pounds.

    The launching conditions are good with the lake level sitting 11.6 feet below spill level. The surface temperature was reported at 70 degrees.

    The lake is open for fishing and boating on a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday schedule each week. The concessions are currently open each of those days, with boat rentals also available.
