Bass action at Lower Otay continues to be steady. Bass are going full speed chasing the shad schools in Harvey and Otay Arms.
Right now I like to spend the first hour fishing a topwater pop bait along the deeper tule-lined banks that also have grass. After that, I’ll head for open water and chase the schooling fish. Topwater baits and small swimbaits on light line are producing well on those.
The plastic worm bite on the deeper grass edges gave up a couple small fish and was slow.
