Lake Conditions: Surface temperature is 60 Fahrenheit. The water visibility is about 2 to 4 ft., Lake Gauge is at 83.53.
Trout – Trout are still being caught, mostly between the rental boat dock and the courtesy dock. Jason Blake from Campo caught himself a nice 8lb 8oz rainbow as well as two others at about 1.5oz on powerbait. Recommended baits would be Powerbait, Rapala Countdowns, Kastmasters, Thomas Buoyants or night crawlers.
Bass – Austin Holmgren pulled in another nice double digit bass this week at 10lbs even. He did release this one successfully as well. Andrew Louder from El Cajon got a 7lb 12oz bass from the shore near the boat dock. Your best bet is plastic worms, swim baits, rattle traps, drop shots, or jigs.
Carp – Carp can always be seen feeding on the rocks and barely submerged up on the shoreline so if that’s what you’re going for should be no problem. Look for shallow areas where they would possibly be hanging out.
