  • Lake Conditions- Surface temperature is 66 Fahrenheit. The water visibility is about 2 to 4 ft., Lake Gauge is at 77.52

    Trout –No trout reported this week. Recommended baits would be Power bait, Rapala Countdowns, Kastmasters, Thomas Buoyants or night crawlers.

    Bass – Bass are still being caught on crankbaits and plastics deeper off points.

    Catfish – Anglers are having luck with cut mackerel and cut bonito about 30 feet off the shoreline at this time. Cut mackerel, cut bonito, and chicken liver have been doing the job.

    Bluegill & Crappie – No reports this week.

    CarpCarp can always be seen up near the surface or by the shoreline so if that’s what you’re going for you shouldn’t have a hard time.

    Boat Launch conditions: Private boat launch is closed until further notice.

    The speed limit on land and water is 10 mph. Before launch all boats will be inspected for Quagga. Boats must be CLEAN and DRY. If you do not pass inspection you will not be able to launch for that day. The launch fees are $5.00 per day. Motorboats, kayaks, canoes, float tubes and sailboards must pay fee.

    The lake is open daily for fishing and boating. Park hours for fishing and boating is from sunrise to 30 minutes before sunset, day use is from sunrise to sunset. No swimming at Lake Morena Park.

    Motorboats and rowboats are available for rent 7 days a week. Motorboats rent for $30 M-F and $50 S-S. No reservations taken on boats. Fishing permits M-F for Adults $5.00, Youth age 10 to15 $2.00, Seniors 62+ $3.00. Weekends and Holidays for Adults $7.00, Youth $3.00, Seniors $5.00.
