Lake Morena Fish Report – 11/19/16

  • The current water temperature is 59 degrees.

    No live bait, no crayfish. Boat launch is closed. All vessels must pass a Quagga Inspection and pay a $5 launch fee. State fishing license is required.


    • We received our first trout plant from Jess Ranch November 18th so come on out!


    CATFISH: Aerator, Geezer Cove
    TROUT: Geezer Cove, Paradise Cove, Hill Cove, Aerator
    BASS: Horseshoe Cove, Rock Shelve
    PANFISH/CARP: Hill Cove, Pumphouse Cove (Panfish) + Geezer Cove (Carp)


    CATFISH: Mackerel, bonito, chicken liver, stinkbait
    TROUT: Powerbait, nightcrawlers
    BASS: Crankbaits, swimbaits, plastics
    PANFISH/CARP: Mealworms (Panfish) + dough balls, corn (Carp)


    CATFISH: Reginald Gilham caught a 9lb 2oz blue catfish this week on cut mackerel.
    TROUT: We have received trout from Jess Ranch so come on out and try your luck.
    BASS: Preston Jones caught a trophy sized largemouth bass this week estimated between 8-10lbs.
    PANFISH/CARP: No reports of Crappie or Bluegill being taken this week. Carp can always be seen up near the surface or by the shoreline so if that’s what you’re going for you shouldn’t have a hard time.
